  1. I've been trying DVD2One and I must say AWESOME!! Any program that can fit an entire movie (I've done 3 hour movies and the quality is near perfect) including 6ch sound on one DVD-R and do it in 45 minutes is fantastic! I also like the fact that it includes original chapter points. But I do have one question: is there a guide somewhere on how to include original menus? I found one for version 1.00 but it was poorly written and didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hi,

Was it my guide that you read? If so, I would like to know the problems it had, so I can improve it for other people. Any advice will be appreciated.

I haven't had time to update it with the new version of DVD2ONE due to school finals... But I will soon.

P.S. If it wasn't my guide, I guess you can try mine and see if it works.

  4. I'm sure you'll find something that might need little more explanation, if you do, I would like to hear about it so I can improve the guide. Thank You.

    Hope this is clear.

    TV Episodes

The new version of DVD2ONE allows you to select the output file size,so it's not necessay to "pad" the files with Make-It-Easy.
You will need Make-It-Easy to update the ifo file in DVD rip directory.

1.) Rip the DVD with DVD Decrypter in file mode so you get all files,it will create a directory with a subdirectory called VIDEO_TS

2.) Look at the file structure in Explorer, you need to identify the main vob files.
They appear as a series of 7 or 8 vob's,that's the actual episodes

3.) Move those vob's to a directory named "Source",keep the ifo file in the DVD rip directory, you'll need it later.

4.) Now look at the directory where you ripped the DVD,how much space is left in the directory, probably less then 100MB's

    5.) Since a DVD-R has capacity of 4480MB's,subtract the amount left in you DVD rip ditectory,for example 4480 minus 100 = 4380MB's

6.) Now use IFOEDIT to create ifo files for the source directory

7.) Look at the files IFOEDIT created, they must all use the same VTS number, for example the ifo files will be VTS_01
but the vob files will probably be VTS_02. Change the ifo files to VTS_02,this is required to open the source directory in DVD2ONE.
Start DVD2ONE and select the source directory as your source, create a directory called Destination on your HD
Use that directory as the destination directory in DVD2ONE,fill in amount of MB's to convert to
4480Mb's less the 100MB's left in your DVD rip directory equals 4380MB's,now let DVD2ONE compress the files

8.) Open your destination directory and look at the vob files after DVD2ONE has compressed them.
They must use the same name as your original vob files. The vob files in your destination directory will be VTS_01.
But the files in your source directory will probably be VTS_02. Rename the vob files in the destination directory to VTS_02.

9..) Move the vob files from your destination directory and put them in the directory where ripped the DVD.

10.) In Make-It-Easy goto step #4,and fill in the destination directory, now goto step #5 navigate to your DVD rip directory and open the ifo file.
It will probably be VTS_02_0.IFO and click update.

  7. I just updated my guide a little bit and brough the download section back. Soon I will do a couple of more guides.

If anyone could host these guides and programs for me, it'll be great. Everything it's about 30MB or so!
