Can anyone help me figure out how to get things from TIVO on to my computer and then put on DVD? I don't know what all equipment I need, what hookups I need, or exactly how to do it.

Are you talking about just video outs from TiVo to PC? or ar you talking ripping data from the TiVo hard drive directly to PC?
If using just outputs from TiVo. You need a Analog to Digital Video Converter (you should have a USB 2.0 port or Firewire port on your PC if your video card does not do it and you want an external converter) or you can replace/add a video card card that will convert the Audio/Video inputs.

Well i am interested to hear if you can rip right from the hard drive... anyone know how??
You win some, and you lose some, and some get rained out... -
The best place to start is with the Hinsdale guide for upgrading your TIVO. http://www.newreleasesvideo.com/hinsdale-how-to/. There are instructions on how to hack your TIVO, add a network card, etc...
I have a Sony SVR-2000, in which I've added a second 120 Gig hard drive and a Turbonet Ethernet Adapter (http://www.9thtee.com) all with info I found in the Hinsdale guide and the 9thtee.
There are some great Tivo forums out there with a ton of answers. The best I've found is http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/.
Good luck.
