HP 200i problems....or somethin else?

I've been able to burn DVD+R, CDR, CDRW cd's fine for the past 2 months (When i got the burner). But in the past week i haven't been able to burn anything. I don't know if its the Media, but i havne't been able to burn any VCD's, data cd's or even audio cd's.
I keeps on saying write error, or calibration error either right away, or 50% complete...
its' getting really annoying wasting these CD.
can anyone help me? thanks...

I just finished simulating an Audio CD on a CDR
Memorex Cool CD-R at 4x and it finished buring at 100% and was leading-out when all of a sudden it said unspecified recorder error...
what the crap
is my DVD-Burner fried??
i've tested it on the memorex cd's
and profssional Philips all X speed CDRs

Might want to try to upgrade to the newest Firmware version which is 1.5.1, make sure ALL your drives have DMA on also.

I did download the newest version of firmware...but nothing happened...

the burner was working fine until a week ago when i tried to burn a VCD for my friend...help!!
