I may be being thick here, but is there a way of editing two files together in Virtual DUB? Basically I want to be able to open both files, and then copy sections or even individual frames from one to the other, and then frameserve the final result to TMPEng without having to save.
Is this possible?

Open the first file in vdub. and then select append file and select your next file. make sure both audio and video are on direct stream copy and then select save avi.

I'm using the MPEG2 modified VirtualDUB to open MPEG2 files, and unfortunately when I do that, the append option is disabled.
It doesn't look like Virtual DUB really does enough in the way of editing to do what I want anyway. There doesn't seem to be any basic cut/copy/paste functionality for example.
