I am having audio sync problems with longer videos recorded to DVD. This has occurred with several different programs (Studio 8, MyDVD 4,..). I have read some posts about cheap sound cards possibly causing this problem. I have a SoundBlaster Live Value sound card and I am considering upgrading to something from Turltle Beach.
Has anyone had any experiences with sync improvement through a sound card upgrade??

I don't think a new sound card will help - I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 and used to get synch problems (with Ulead MF) until I changed the program I was encoding DVD with (to SpruceUp). No more problems.

It won't help.
There are 3 reasons for those problems: Conflicts on the hardware, Bad Software setup, or wrong drivers/ bad drivers setup.
There is also a 4th reason, already mentioned: Bad software for capture, or third party sofware not compatible with the hardware you have.
