about Philips 580HC (Europe)

Hi All

Anybody has tested this player with different medias?

Philips told me that supports DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW, but in the review Milenio says that it don´t play. Any more oppinion????

I think this player is great, but I would like to know other oppinions about it. It plays all the formats in CD-R (Except Divx, of course).

the philips 580hc WILL play dvd-r/rw's. the brands that worked for me are memorex, pioneer, TDK. every now and then it wont play one of these disks but i just try it again and it usually works. so far i have'nt burned any dvd-r/rw's that i have'nt been able to play.
as for Milenio, who says he can't get any dvd-r's to play in his player review:

well, what do you expect? princo's are supposed to be crap! use one of the brands i mentioned instead!

What do you (boss and other people of course) think about the player??? It seems there were a lot of units in the market last xmas that were sold, but nobody talk about it in the forums ¿¿??

Anybody has an answer for the DVD+R/RW?

I found a firmware upgrade in

DVD-R works perfect with this model. Thx boss for your comments, but it take me too much time to find the recorder...

Milenio, I agree with boss, tou must try to use other medias

paipo, did you try dvd-rw's yet? sometimes the 580hc will not play them, but try again. they WILL work!
