some times if i copy a dvd-r the copy i have done finishes just before the end, the disk i am coping deffo has the end on so why aint' mine ? as i am not ripping the movie in any way just doing a straight copy with the latest nero and sony dru500ax. also the movies i've copied wont work in my liteon hd166s dvd player on the sony ?

Are you copying 'on the fly' from one DVD-ROM drive direct to your burner. If so, don't. Copy all the files from the source DVD rom to your HD and burn from there using Nero or your favourite burning program.

I have often the same problem, so I use Padus Disc Juggler to make an ISO file, it corrects the burning problems with "dummy" inserts and then burn again with the same software. It works better than Nero.......I have both but for this kind of duties I always use Padus.

Make sure you copy the files from the backup to the harddrive first. (VIDEO_TS folder) Then use your recordable software.
Best and safest way. It appears it copied fine when you do a 1 on 1, but it doesnt work on any players.
I waisted alot of discs until I realized later what was going on.
