  1. I need some help. I am using TMPGE to encode avi and mpg files to mpg2 for DVD burning. I followed the exact instructions from this site about converting to mpg2. The problem I had was with the very last step. Just before I am about to encode it shows that the output is two separate files, m2v + wav. In the example on this site it shows the output file only as an mpg (https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgencdvd.htm). Please tell me what settings I am supposed to use in order to get the right outut file. Thanks.

    There is nothing wrong with a m2v output. You can still make your DVD with that same as with mpeg.
    The "setting" you want is Stream type on the main window. Choose System (Video + Audio) if you want an mpeg only output 8)
