  1. hi,

i downloaded an SVCD proper repack of a movie, and i mounted it with daemon tools to check if it would work, and it played fine in PowerDVD, however, once i burnt the cd (both at 4x and 24x) it would not play in PowerDVD nor a standalone dvd player.

    i burnt the bin/cue in Nero 5.5.9.10

    any ideas?

sorry i didnt know where to put this one, so i threw it in newbie

try extracting the mpeg file from the bin/cue with http://www.vcdgear.com/download.html then burn it.

Nero is able to burn cd-images of type cue/bin (don't burn the cue/bin as a 'PC CD-Rom' !!). Procedure : Open the cue-file as new project, or command 'Burn image' and open the cue-file (instead of a nrg-file).

If you followed the right procedure, then possible the image you downloaded is corrupt (do the download again) or isn't a SVCD at all!
In this case, load the cue/bin via DAEMON-tools; copy the MPeG out of it; then use SVCD-authoring tools like VCDwizard (Nero could be suiteble too) and (re-)create a propper SVCD. Then burn to cd (or rewritable, so you can test it first).
