DivX audio out of sync with video

I been having problems with a couple DivX i downloaded. The audio would go out of sync with the video after maybe 10 mins of playing the file. I dont know what the problem is. My specs

athlon 700 t bird
128mb pc-133 sdram
rage fury pro
divX 4.0 final

Just right now I tried playing the movie again and it would go out of sync again. Then I went into the properties in WMP 6.4 and put the "Post Processing" all the way to the left side. This did the trick! COolness! Dang... I downloaded this movie twice thinking it was a messed up encode job. I got another problem tho, I downloaded another divX and the video would play but no sound, it went to microsofts page to download a codec. it did and still said this codec wont work. Someone said its cuz i was using the 4.0 codec. He said the 3.11a works. If this is true, godamn! i deleted the file

Where in properties is "post processing"...i can't find it cuz i am having the same problem?

when u play the file in media player, right click and go to properties and hit the advanced tab. click on the divx codec. if ur on 4.0 codec then it'll have post processing. slide it to the left. if u got 3.11a, it saids soemthing else but its the same thing. slide it to the left
