Hi everyone
I have a terrible problem in my captures: VIDEO NOISE! Look the image below:
Damn f*ckin' noise! I'm getting a lot of noise with any source (VCR, LD..) I'm using composite connection to capture. When I watch in my "TV room" of my house using the same VCR or LD with the same cables I get a perfect clearly image. What's the problem? Here in my bedroom (where the computer stays) lot of noise appears.
Please help me!
Thanks in advance

A couple of things to check
1- Distance of Video/Audio cables from source if longer then 4 meters you might want to consider a quad shielded cable (QS RG6). My computer is in a different room as my video sources and I run Quad Shielded RG6 cable with type F to RCA adapters.
2- Check grounding reference, Is your computer grounded? If so, is it on the same power / ground reference as your video source?
3- Double-check all video connections. Do not allow for any loose connections
or any oxide coating on connections.
4- Make sure that video cables are not running parallel to power cords.
5- If the above fails, try this, Bring VCR / Laser Disk player to the same room and plug into the same power strip as your computer. Run a short Video cable from VCR / Laser Disk player to computer, if problem persists then check video card & video card connection to video source. If problem disappears, you might be experiencing ground loop noise.
Hope this helps -
It's very shorter than 4 meters for sure!Originally Posted by gbvideo
No, I can't do this because my computer is turned in 110v and the VCR in 220v. But I think this is no the problem because my LD is also 110 and the noise apears.Originally Posted by gbvideo
Yes, I'm using new cables. I've tried to change my cables but the noise stills the same!Originally Posted by gbvideo
No, running or not parallel to power cords the noise is the same.Originally Posted by gbvideo
I'm experiencing loop noise! That's the big problemOriginally Posted by gbvideo
Damn, how I can solute this ? I've noticed the noise apears only when I connect my audio cables into the sound card. I've tried to change the sound card but the problem still the same. Before I experienced this noise problem, I never get any problems with this; only nowadays.
By the way, thanks for answering!
And some blessed people help me please!
