  1. i converted a divx file which looks like this
    which i converted to a svcd format with the help of TMPGEnc,
    it took me around 20 hrs to finnish converting and after that i noticed that the audio runs before video, isit coz off my pc speed which is 700 mhz with 128 or is it something else. should i burn it as it is and see if i get this problem while playing on my dvd player.

    Try to split the audio from the video (so you have an avi without audio, and a wave file).
    Enter the avi in the video's inputbox and the wave in the audio's inputbox in TMPGenc. Then encode these to MPeG.

    While you already got a MPeG, use the MPeG-tools of TMPGenc to demultiplex the video out of this mpeg.
    Then take your original avi (which still got the audio in it) and get that audo into a seperate wave file.
    Now encode this wave file to a mp2/layer-2 (44.1khz, 16bit) file, you can use TMPGenc for that too.
    Then multiplex the pre-demultiplexed video (now a m1v if it's a vcd, or a m2v if it's a svcd) to a new mpeg with the encoded audio (mp2).

    It's normal it takes a lot of time to encode avi to mpeg, aspecially when the avi is DivX (de-encode -> encode) or if you've got a slow system.
