Hi, Very new to this stuff, so the question i have maybe very simple to answer (or not!).
I have just purchased a Kiss DP-450 DVD player. I have several Divx movies on my hard Drive which are version3.11. I have found out the hard way that this version of the codec is not compatible with the player. (Should have read the manual i suppose!!!)
I have tried converting to v5 with virtualdub by re-encoding the video on full processing mode and direct stream copying the audio. However every attempt i have made at doing this has created an audio sync problem.
Anybody have any ideas, i can't find anything about converting codecs on any of the guides.
thanks in advance.

why are you using full processing mode to recompress the video? Do you know the difference between full processing mode and fast recompress? this seems to be a common mistake here...
Sync shouldnt be affected, unless the DivX 5 decoder filter's post processing is set too high for your system, in which case the audio will probably go off progressively. Otherwise, it should happen. -
Tried with fast recompress as advised and it worked fine.
Thanks for your help.
