  1. Ok my problem is when im trying to write from .iso ... dvd 5 layer movie i get a Disk I/O error , and i have tried force aspi , and adaptec aspi layers, and even the default settings ... amazingly enough i did however get one dvd to work... this dvd-r was a ( Memorex DVD-R ) so i figured that any dvd-r would work so i went out and bought ( Memorex DVD-R Version 2.0 ) and have had problems ever since... i have got the program to burn but then about half way through the burn all i get is fail!!! And ruin my damn dvd-r

Any help would be greatly appreciated if you have had this error and been able to overcome the problem... please let me know asap!! thanks

  2. What drive to you have, what speed are you trying to burn, and when you say the burn fails exactly what error message do you get.

Why are you using Memorex discs? They are classed as some of the worst DVD-Rs you can buy. Try again with some better media like Pioneer, Verbatim or Fuji. If you are on a budget, try some Ritek discs. Bad media is one of the biggest problems with owning a DVD recorder/burner...

  5. hi,as far as i know that error [Disk I/O Error] is an input output error,i would guess there might be a communication problem between the hard drive and dvd rewriter.
