  1. I am able to convert the .m2v file into .mpg easily enough. However when I do it always leaves a small boarder on the edges on the right and left-hand side, however it doesn't do it at the top and bottom.

I have tried changing the different ratios, boarders, etc. but I am still not able to converted it so it turns completely fullscreen. Can someone instruct me so I am able to convert the files without having the boarder on the sides. Thank you.

  2. Some more information is required.

What is the source of the mpeg2 video (.M2V) files?

What format exactly are you converting them to? Mpeg1/2, resolution/spec?

    Is there an audio file?

What are you doing with the resulting mpg files?

    Overscan:

The area at the edges of a television tube that is covered to hide possible video distortion. Overscan typically covers about 4 or 5 percent of the picture.

    Hope That Helps!!! :P
