    I'm tryin to change my avi files to mpeg but every program i get says it can have sound and thats not what i want so i could use some help.

    Haven't you ever heard of TMPGEnc? It does everything you could possibly need. You can get it from http://www.tmpgenc.net/. And you can just encode video with TMPGEnc without sound.
