I have a divx movie (352x240) that i am trying to convert to mpeg2 with tmpegenc, and everything is fine exept the fact that while the movie itself is 16:9, it is encoded in 4:3 so the image is all stretched out.. i am trying to convert it back to 16:9, with the familiar black bars so that the movie is truly widescreen.. i have tried messing with the tmpegenc aspect ratio settings, but for some reason i cannot get this to appear.. anyone have any idea on the specific settings to accomplish this?

  2. I have had success with keeping 16:9 movies 16:9. In Tmpge the only setting I change for aspect ratio is on the source range wizard page. Under othe settings and the advanced tab in video arrange method choose Keep aspect ratio 2. This usually solves my problem.

    Source aspect ratio: 1:1 (VGA)
Video arrange Method: Full screen (keep aspect ratio)

    Hope That Helps!!! :P
