  1. i have small two problems, i have recorded some mpeg2 files using a dvb card, so now i would extract the audio track to make some wav files, which suitable program should i use to do it? the other problem is that i would decrease the bit rate of teh mpeg2 files, it's close to 5500kbs, to make some svcd, how can i do it?
thanks in advance for your help, bye!

You can use TMPG to demux the video and audio. Then open the MP2/PCM audi track in HeadAche or Besweet and convert to whatever you want.

5500 Kbps won't work for SVCD. You total maximum limit for Audio+Video is...ummmm...help me out here...2650 Kbps? That is about 2250 for video with enough room for 192 kbps audio and muxing overhead. Check the guides, but you can use TMPG or CCE to re-encode to a lower bitrate ( you will also need the MPEG2 codec to read the file ).
