Does anyone know if i can do this? When I run an Xvid file through DVD2SVCD it comes up with "XVID codec missing and crashes out. I do have the xvid codec and am able to view the avi file from Vdub and can see it in the alternative compression modes.
Would or could I have just a compression codec and not the decoding part of the Xvid file? I obtained from full Nimo pack.
I get around the problem by recompressing the video as a different codec and uncompressing the audio stream.
It would be much easier to put the avi in at one end and receive my SVCD's at the other via DVD2SVCD.
I tend to use CCE 2.5 as my encoder although I do have TMPGenc as well. Also no matter what I do I cannot get TMPenc to read my files no matter what I do to the environmental settings for the directshow reader.
Can anyone advise please?
Thanx in advance Tom

This happens to me too, but ONLY since the last two updates of DVD2SVCD. I haven't installed an older version yet to try it...

Confirmed...
Went back to version "DVD2SVCD 1.1.0 Build 1 bundle", and all is fine...
