  2. 5 hours??

I wish i could make it in 5 hours!!

My PIII (1GIG) does it in 10-14 hours!! using dvd2svcd.

There are only 2 options to get it faster :

    1. go to the shop and by it ( takes 10-30min)
    2. by a future P5 (4.5GIG) (takes 15 min)

I would tend to agree with Crashbyte, 5 hrs is not all that bad. I run a P4 2 GHz and using DVD2SVCD 2.1 it took me about 8 hrs to do Saving Private Ryan which is 2 hrs 42 min long. The result is great both video and audio wise the only problem I have is that the audio goes out of sync if I stop the SVCD and then resume play or if I fast forward the movie. I'm not sure what causes this and I have posted this problem on this board without getting any replies. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Good luck!

Wow! Here I was thinking of buyin a pent 4 1.8 gig chip to speed up the process using dvd2svcd. I have a pent 3 933 gig chip and it takes 14 hours to convert my region 3 dvds and took 20 hours for a region 1 movie. Glad I surfed in this forum.
