I'm trying to produce a SVCD and include a folder with a 9 characters and it keeps on chopping off the last character.
How can I get around this issue?
I need to keep the name as is and not shorten it.
Thanks in advance

Most standard (S)VCD authoring apps create in track 1 (the data/filesystem track) an ISO9660 volume with strict level 1 compliance. This means no filenames longer than 8.3, no folders more than 8 levels deep, etc. There are a few exceptions.
If, for example, you have been using VCDEasy/VCDImager, you could save the XML, edit in a text editor the filenames to include longer stuff, and burn using Vitualis' VCDImager Tools GUI. Or you could try VCDWizard. Both support the LK fork of VCDIMAGER which supports ISO9660 level 2.
