when i rip a dvd, i have no audio files at all, just files to put into video_ts BUT the dvds all work.
is this ok??

Technically, to be complient with the DVD specs, there must be a AUDIO_TS directory at the root of a DVD. There doesn't have to be any files there, but the directory has to exist. That said, many commercial DVDs don't have this directory, so if you don't have one, don't worry about it.

I believe that the AUDIO_TS directory is for DVD-AUDIO discs only, not sure why they put it on DVD-VIDEO discs then!
