Hello all -
I'm rather a newbie of the whole VCD/SVCD/DivX thing, but I have been collecting them for quite some time (got a collection well over 300 of different shows, events, etc.) and I just wanted to put a thank you out to this site.
I had a question the other day (How do I do a DivX to SVCD conversion) and I looked under Convert and my answer was right there. I followed the great step-by-step instructions, did what it told me to, and it worked perfectly first try.
So, to those of you who have been working on this site, originally came up with the idea, or just participate on this site, my heart-felt thanks goes out to each and every one of you for making my life so much simpler. Now, if only someone would find a way to stop Microsoft....... *grins*

The site's guides are great way to start sometime for the newbie. A very helpful, informative and simple site for our needs generally.
All you have to is ask, find a solution to the problem or tell us something helpful whatever. Tell us a story or news is great for knowledge or to update.
There is always someone willingly wanted to help here, this is what this web site is all about. Hence, its name DVDRHelp.
I would also like to say a quick compliment of DVDRHelp.com. -
THanks. But remember that the site wouldn't be much without all you users and moderators. Most guides, articles, forum posts and all dvd player/capturecard/writers list comments/reports are made by you.

True Baldrick, but you should be credited with being a superb administrator
. Without your dedication this site would not be where it is today.

This is a great site. If it wasn't for the guides, i wouldn't have such a huge movie collection

I would have to wholeheartedly agree with WarriorSolo. For someone who is "new" to this whole thing, this place is GREAT!!! You can usually find answers to your common questions by looking at the guides, and if not, just ask a question in one of the forums. Someone will undoubtedly have had a problem similar to yours, and has found an answer that works for them. It may not always work for you, but at least you might have someplace new to start troubleshooting from.
I personally went for about two years before I understood that I could take all of the stuff that I had recorded, and put onto DVD to be played back on my TV DVD player!
I have even become knowledgeable enough that I feel that I can help "newbies" with some of their problems.
Keep up this website!!!! It's all good!!
Thanks!! -
