no audio

I converted an .avi file to .mpg using tempg and I have no audio. I have converted these files before with no problem. any idea?

I had this problem this week. I was trying to convert A Star trek TOS episode and had no audio .. I still dont know why but i used the decompressor from avi2vcd_ver1_3_10 and uncompressed the sound then had no problem creating a XVCD Mpeg with sound afterwards .. give it a try

thanks for the reply. Could u explain a little more? You decompressed the audio first? Does this mean u had 2 files 1 audio and 1 video? How did u put them back together as 1 file?
