  1. Hello,

I am currently just testing this program, and i have noticed something if anyone else has this same thing happen to them,

    1. I used DVD Decryptor to rip the DVD, I noticed that Angle 2 was skipped during the entire process of ripping. I was wondering, if dis is a default thing and is there a way to keep both angles.

    2. I used Instant copy to copy the DVD, (by the way other than thiis problem, I havent found anything bad abuot this program. However the quality loss is a lot worse than CCE, which now i know why everyone raves CCE. but however, with the ease of use, and the quality wasnt THAT BAD at all. Better than SVCD, but not as good as DVD. obviously.)

    3. During playback, on my pioneer 250. I noticed that the parts of the DVD that actually has a 2nd angle, the DVD would just skip.. and repeat... sorta like a record player skipping and playing the same thing over and over. the rest of the movie plays perfectly. and I MEAN PERFECTLY.

    4. conclusion, my conclusion is that it is caused by DVD decryptor having skipped the Second angle, soo my question would be how do u rip the entire movie including the 2nd Angle and the first angle. if not can i use Ifoedit to adjust the angle parts.

anyways this is just one of the small problems i have seen with Instantcopy, but i dont think its instantcopy's fault. I think this program is what we all whined about for the past year. a program that makes a DVD-9 into one DVD-5. and even with quality loss, this is a DEFINITELY worthwhile program, i hope future releases will have a better reencoding method. I mean i know by getting better re-encoding i might lose more time, meaning used for encoding time.... but we when u gain a benefit u might lose a plus.... soo what can u do... but i for one say this program is AMAZING.

You know you can ajust which parts of the DVD get the most filesize/quality right?

What i do is i downsize the extras that i'm not too crazy about as low as they can go.Which frees up more space for the movie to look better

And if your really concerned with movie quality. Then you can just downsize all the extras on the disc to bring the quality of the main movie back up.While the extras will still be watchable, they'll be closer to VCD quality.

Also i'm pretty sure you can lose the DVD-ROM stuff too.

Exactly what is this angle stuff supposed to be? I hear others mention it but am not certain what it is.

Also have you ever tried Smartripper? Its what i use to ripp DVDs and i'm pretty sure it ripps everything perfectly.

What you experience during the multiangle sequence--Play,skip,RepeatPlay,skip,Play...is that you really are seeing the un-filtered MPEG stream. Filtering here meaning stripping and isolating each angle. A multiangle video is actually muxed into a VOB like so...
    Code:
    V1a | V1b | V1c | V2a | V2b | V2c | V1d | V1e | V1f | V2d | V2e | V2f
    and so on...

So it sounds like that program really doesn't know how to correctly handle multi-angle video. That, or you might have the settings wrong.

While this new rash of all-in-one streamlined DVD-copying apps are very popular, and they often do a great job with simple straightforward DVD's, NOTHING beats knowing completely how DVD's are put together, and having a full and varied arsenal of tools to get exactly at any particular problem or complication that may arise. That's why this site is so invaluable, and why its still a good idea to PRACTICE on VCD's/SVCD's at least.

  5. Well first, Star Warrior, to rply what you said, yeah i have basically made all the extras super small, i still want them there, but from lke 285 megs down to like 25 soo it will look super crappy, the extras i mean.. but i mean, i guess what i am saying is that compared to CCE and TMPenc's quality of encoding, i feel that this software really only needs to fix that part.

Exactly what is this angle stuff supposed to be? I hear others mention it but am not certain what it is.
Well an angle in a DVD is like a scene, say a man is walking a dog and that is the scene, well let's say that u are looking at them in a bird's eye View, well at the same instant another angle, say u can see them from a worm's eye view... i think that is a way to explain menus, my particular angle for this is a Japanese text turned into English text, meaning angle 1 is japanese text (seeing that this was originally from japan) and angle 2 is in English.. (the translation) hope that explains the angles stuff.

What you experience during the multiangle sequence--Play,skip,RepeatPlay,skip,Play...is that you really are seeing the un-filtered MPEG stream. Filtering here meaning stripping and isolating each angle. A multiangle video is actually muxed into a VOB like so...
Well, I think this might be DVD Decryptor not ripping it correctly, as it says skipping angle 2.... (now i am unsure exactly what it is doing when it is skipping angle 2, soo maybe you can help me understand this Cornucopia, but i think if i had both angles decrypted, i can get Instantcopy to work..... soo i mean i dont think its instantcopy's problem only because it doesnt seem like DVD Decryptor bothered to get the 2nd angle, unless there is a way to rip both angles or basically rip the DVD the way it is....

anyways thanks for the feedbacks, they really helped
