I just wanna ask if there's any possible way to merge ripped videos together

For example, I want to rip Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring DVD into SVCD, which I'm pretty sure will fit nicely into 4 discs (cuz my friend has it). I checked before and the DVD is 2 discs as well, so when I rip it, if I end up having to burn 5 cds when it could really fit 4, is there some way to merge the video files so that they fit into 4 cds?
