    for some reason, when i am trying to convert a mpgeg2 to a d2v and ao3 file, dvd2avi spits out only a d2v. why is there no audio? this has never happened to me before...

    Either you haven't selected the correct audio track, or you have selected audio incorrectly. Try using AUTO SELECT and TRACK 1.

    Or else, it's something different!

    yeah that was it man, thanks. i had the audio as track one, dolby digital. is DD only good for doing dvd>dvdr??
