    hi there i ahve tried to convert SVCD to VCD but to no joy. I have followed the guide but it just has not worked. I have also tried the header trick and that just dont seem to be happening for me either, is there anyway i can convert an SVCD mpeg to a VCD mpeg please...thanx

    Also when an mpeg2 has been converted to mpeg1 does the size decrease when it has finished converting?

  2. Header trick dont work??? Maybe your doing something wrong. Well what I do is I load Tmpgenc, then I go to File>>Mpegtools. And then you go where it says Simple Multiplex, Load your SVCD mpeg file, then where it sayd type select MPEG-1 Video-CD not the one that say non-standard next to it. There you go!!

    hi there i have done that but i still have probs with it... 1 out of 5 moviez have worked but the rest have not.. i would preffer to just fully convert it to mpeg1. i know the quality it crap but they should get a proper dvdplayer not a crap one ... good job i dont use my cds or i would have none left lol

    Yes it does, e.g I converted a film clip that was in 77MB .m2v and after conversion it went to 48MB in .mpg. It just depends on how good you want to try and keep the quality.
