  1. K guys, here is my method for going from SVCD .bin's to a burnable DVD image. It's not hard, just uses some basic programs. Forgive the stupid 0' things that appear throughout it, I hurried to put the webpage together in microsoft word before I have to run off to my ece lab, so that's why it's shitty. Enjoy it guys, I'll fix it up and make it look nicer later on, maybe make it a pdf to download. The link is this

if you want another way to put SVCD bin/cue onto a DVD you could always convert them into mpeg using vcdimager (vcdtoolsx), join them all together using mpgtx, demux and patch the video in gumby to be DVD ready. Once this is done you should be able to feed the tracks into DVD studio pro, and author from there.

If you are going to use either process a word of warning, some DVD players will either

    1) not play the DVD at all
    2) play the video in a cropped section of the screen with a black section to the right side.

because technically all your doing is fooling the authoring tools into thinking that the files are properly DVD-ready. Some DVD players are more forgiving and will play the material properly, others arent. Its kind of a crap shoot.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

  3. bilestyle, what's this mpgtx program you speak of? and gumby? I dunno i prefer this method cuz it seems easy enough, but I do have a question, WHY can't i use Mpg join? why must i use cat? that's weird, you'd think they would do the same thing, but maybe join adds a track marker or lead or some shit. Anyways, thanks for the alternate method but i've had such bad luck with dsp i prolly will stick to this and use my apex's goto function as my chapter maker
