  1. VirtualDub tells me that it will convert the VBR to CBR which may cause a skew from the videostream. This gets the audio out of synch.

VirtualDub advises me to extract the WAV file and recompress it with a constant bitrate encoder.

I tried to load the WAV directly as audio into TMPGenc and convert it. This worked but the audio was still out of synch.
When I converted the WAV to MP3 with EasyLame there was only distortion and no sound.

Can anybody tell me step by step what I have to do to get it right?

I need to reconvert the DivX in VirtualDub to get permanent subtitles into the DivX because frameserving won't work on my computer (dunno why).

    Please help,
    Thanks.

Have you tried using TMPGEnc with an external audio encoder like TooLame or SSRC?
    Hello.

  3. Yes, easyLame, I extracted the AVI with virtualDub and then I recompressed it with easyLame, but that wouldn't give me the sound. It seems like easyLame messes my soundfile up.

    do this:
open file in vdub. go to audio , check full processing mode
then go to audio agaian and check conversion, then check 44100. 16 bit, hi quality, stereo
then go to file menu and check sav as wav. this new wav will now be in synch. Open tmogenc and select your movie, then as audio use the new wav you created.

you can check it before burning by opening your video in vdub, then go to audio, and then check use wav, and insert your new wav. then press play in vdub.

  7. I did everything you said and got this errormessage: "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format."

What can I do about this???
