Appologies if this has been asked before? I tried searching.
As I understand it when a VCD format mpg is burned a header is added?
So here goes, without re-encoding, How can I remove the header and return to a compliant VCD format mpg quickly as I tried simply renaming them and they didn't work to put on a dvd whereas I can easily and speedily put vcd format mpgs onto a dvd that play as dvd in my players. IE smoother ff/rev and fwd & rev slo-mo. It takes a while as it transcodes the audio etc. but much quicker than tmpgenc'ing would be to convert to dvd format.
Thanks in advance

All you should have to do is convert the audio to 48000 instead of 44100. That is what i have been doing and it works great when burning it to dvd no reincoding or transcoding at all. I simply use tmpgenc to strip put the audio and convert it to 48000 and then remultiplex the video with the audio and the results are zero quality loss when burning them on to dvd. hope this helps.
