  1. Is this possible? I would like to create a DVD in the Ulead Movie Factory 2 trial, or in Sonic MyDVD, which both let you use M2V/WAV, and create the menus I like in the DVD Workshop trial, using dummy MPGs in place of the ones I want. I would save them both to DVD folders instead of burning, then copy the VOBs from the MF2/MyDVD project over the dummy ones in the Workshop project.

Will it mess up because the VOBs are different sizes, or anything? Would I also have to copy the IFOs and BUPs?

It won't work. The IFO's point to specific points in a specfic MPEG. You'd end up with a busted DVD.

Just convert your WAV to whatever format you need for the authoring program you want to use. BeSweet, or TooLame will convert to pretty much any audio format you need for any authoring program.

  3. If I copy the IFOs/BUPs along with the VOBs, would that work? Then they are still pointing to the same MPEG files.

The IFO's have to go with the original MPEG's. You can't swap them out. Your making this more difficult than it is. Demultiplex your audio, and convert it to whatever format DVD Workshop will support.

Are you trying to find some way to bypass a built in limitation? Don't be so cheap. Just buy the software.
