    i have a problem with tmpgenc when i encode a divx to mpeg1;
    after 20 or 40 percent i must close tmpgenc because " there is a problem in tmpgenc.exe in kernel32 and tmpgenc must closed"
    i tried another divx without problem
    i separated audio and video and same problem occured
    what s happening?

  2. Try checking the divx for bad frames. (look in the guides or search the forum for more info on this)

    A simple test:

    - Open the AVI file in VirtuaDub,
    - Select Direct Stream Copy for Video and Audio,
    - Save it with other name.
    - Try to compress the new file.

    I would try Virtualdub Mp3............... instead of regular Vdub. Use Gspot to check for the codec & framerate.
