  1. im using tmpenc 12.j
    but when i try ti open the divx.avi file a message pops up that says that the file is unsopported.

    what now.

  2. Could it be that your DivX file has Compressed Audio? If that is the case you will need to either extract the Audio to an Uncompressed WAV or create a new AVI with Uncompressed Audio.

    You can do this with AVI2VCD or VirtualDub.

    AVI2VCD has a "decompress" utility that will create a new AVI with unmodified video (even the codec) but it will have uncompressed (PCM) Audio. I have used this method several times.

    You can also load the DivX file in VirtualDub and extract an Uncompressed (PCM) WAV file. Then you would use the original DivX AVI as the Video Source in TMPGEnc and the new Uncompressed WAV as the Audio Source.
