I have been having a lot of trouble with my Pioneer A04 burning my DVD-r's. I am using Pinnacle Studio 8.0 and the rendering process is working fine (belive it or not) and the burn seems to work OK. BUT when I try and play the DVD-r back in my DVD player (and about 5 other brand new models that I tried at the store) the audio gets screwed up near the end of the disc (all crackly but video is fine). I thought it was the media at first but have tried 3 different types of DVD-r's as well (Pioneer, Verbatim and Memorex). I am wondering if there is any way to tell if there is a problem with my burner? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I should also mention that after I render the files and create the DVD structure and play it on my hard drive using Power DVD, the .vob files play flawlessly. It is only once I burn the video to the DVD-r that the audio problems surface, that is why I was suspicious of a problem with my burner.
