    Im new at making good menu's (non Nero menu) How can i make a still image into a 5 to 10 second avi or mpeg. And be able to add text to it. Please respond... Or email me

    If you want to create a 'still' as a 5-10sec. avi/mpeg, then you're no longer got a real still but just a movie, playing 1 image for its duration.
    You can create such using VDub (Virtual Dub). Al you need to do is load the image and save as an avi (and something more, I don't know precisly because I maky mine using Premiere which isn't free btw).

    If you want to create a _real_ still, then I suggest you use software which are designed for such. For instance, VCDwizard has a STILL-Generator build in. All you need to do is loading the image (a JPeG, PPM, BMP, TGA or GIF) in the STILL-Generator (image must be having tv-bounderies, like 704x480 or 704x576), then select what type of STILL you want to have (mpeg1 for VCD or mpeg2 for SVCD) and when you've clicked the Start-button, you'll get your still after a few seconds...
