  1. hello,

subject says it all: does anyone know about *ANY*
SVCD or DVD software player that can display
the selectable subtitles in a SVCD?

so far I've tried PowerDVD and WinDVD and i have
only been able to check the 2-audio tracks.

i've muxed the selectables subtitles into the mpeg
    file with Winsubmux.

the reason for this is checking the selectable
subtitles in the final mpeg or cd image, before
    burning it.

i've tried MANY different combinations and at
    this poing i'm desperate

    thanks in advance,

    Don't be! (desperate!)
Just burn it on a CD-RW if you don't want waste a CD-R. Even if you find a software SVCD player that can show selectable subs, it tells you nothing about if your standalone player will.

  3. hello,

    thanks for your postig

well, i burnt it on a cd-rw but when i play it on my
standalone dvd player and I play the <subtitle> button
on the remote control no subtitles are displayed.

according to the DVD players section, mine *cannot*
show them. however, i'd like to check whether the
svcd cd i've created is ok (and i have done it ok) or
    maybe i've done something wrong...

i know few people would even care about it, but i
    belong to the perfectionist side

    any suggestions?
