  1. Hi,

I have posted this a while ago and have played around with the file since then but I can't find a solution. Sorry, I am a newbie.
So, here is my problem again:
I downloaded a mpg file which seems to be ok regarding audio-video synch. But when cutting out a part of it using TEMPenc or VirtualDub the cut part is out of synch. Thinkiing about it when playing the original file in VirtualDub it's out of synch too.

KingJohn said: "I guess you mean when you play back the original mpeg it "looks" ok If you never made the original mpeg, then it does have problems, that need to be fixed before splitting can be done."

So, how can I check for bad frames and how can I fix that if this is the reason for the problem? Could it be something else?
KingJohn's Guide to bad frames V2 VBR Update is not available.

    Thanks,
    Gwion

The help files of TMPGENc report any external file imported and clipped/jined etc. will more than likely have video/audio sync issues.
I can't solve your issue, it involves removing the audio from the video and has never worked for me.
