I have used OSEx to extract the VOBs from a DVD with both an English and Japanese soundtrack with English subtitles. I chose that I want the Japanese language track and the English subtitles.
The extraction goes on without a hitch but whenever I view the VOBs with Mplayer, I do not see the subtitles. Should I? Or if I burn what is extracted, will the subtitles be there?
I tried to search for this info but I keep getting "Search Unavailable" from the server.
I wanted to also use forty-two but I read that it has a bug in the subtitle functionality. Does anyone have a fave extractor that easily handles subtitles?
Also, anyone have any good tricks to compress MPEG2 video/audio to fit on a 4.7gig disc?
Thanks,
Flaffer
