I couldn't find this documented anywhere. I'm converting an AVI with Nero's mpeg-2 svcd plugin, and I want to know what the "Scaling Method" options in the File Properties menu mean. They're Maximize, Scale and Clip, or Scale and Fit. My guess is that Maximize will stretch or squeeze the frames for a perfect fit, clip will fill the screen and cut the sides, and fit will be letterboxed. Is that right? I want it to be letterboxed. Also, if the AVI has AC3 audio, how will Nero handle this? I am using Nero because both CCE and TMPG say they can't handle the aspect ratio, which is strange because the file properties say it's 640x480.
Anyway, mostly just asking what the scaling options mean.
Thanks for any info.

To begin with...oh lord..never ever ever use Nero to encode your movies...seriously, even though I started out with that IT's the WORSE encode you will ever do...so just stop with that even IF you have the Mpeg2 Plugin, it will still look crap, just trust me...

Try using this guide out IF you don't get any errors...
