I am having trouble burning good dvds on my G4 powermac with the superdrive. I am using either memorex dvdr's or the apple brand. Here's what I am having problems with. Some of the dvd's I'm burning have been straight from iDVD projects, and some have been vob, ifo, etc, files that I've burned via Toast. These files play perfect when previewed in iDVD or the Apple dvd player. However, when I burn them, and test them in my PC dvd player or our standalone, it's messed up. I've also tried extracting the VIDEO_TS folder from the disc, and it's always the same problem, on vob4, there's always an error that prevents it from being extracted.
Out of 12 dvd's I've burned so far, only 4 or 5 have been "successful" burns, not including test burns on dvdrw's. In fact, I burned a video_ts folder in toast on a dvdrw, and all the files extracted fine, and the disc played fine. I immediately burned a dvd-r, and that was a coaster. Looking for suggestions on what I'm doing wrong, thanks. I am using 2x media and burning at 2x speed for dvdr and 1x for dvdrw of course.
