  3. no try NOT using tmpg for remuxing...this is a known bug...you can either A) use the "Source Range" tab under "Advanced" to correct you audio offset provided you know the amount time the offset is, and then when you create your mpeg to begin with, you wont have to worry about out of sync OR demuxing/remuxing.....B) If that doesnt suit you, remux with BBmpeg1.4, has superior muxing qualities over TMPG and more options.

Under program stream setting select svcd if your making a svcd and vcd if your making a vcd. As long as your video and audio streams are compliant thats all you have to do.

  7. I USE to always use mpeg-1 or mpeg-2...never VCD or SVCD, I say use because I use neither now, Iuse DVD because now I make form of miniDVD now....anyways back to the topic..the only thing you should concern youself with is forced mux rate, leave the framing & buffersize alone...and of course the audio delay setting....muxrate is equal to TOTAL BITRATE / 400...now in order to keep from having PTS/DTS underflows, you muxrate has to be the minimum equal to the combine bitrates of max video & audio...example, if I had a video bitrate that peaked at 1235 & audio of 192....then 1235+192=1427, 1427/400=3.567 or for the setting in BBmoeg 3567....minimum, now I throw in about 24 bps on to my total bitrate to compensate for data overhead....the bad part is, you have to do this, watch so see if you get PTS/DTS underflows, but those statistics it shows you EXACTLY what you max bitrate is....ORRRRRR the easier thing to is set the computer bitrate for MAX, and set mux to 0, which allows BBmpeg to calculate your mux rate automatically....whew!, now hacing said all that, that why it is easier to set the audio delay in the "source range" option in TMPG....that way you dont have to do this BBmpeg mess which is time consuming ...personally I would do TMPG first, then BBmeg 2nd.
