I have succesfully managed to convert my XViD onto VCD. However i have spent the last full 3 days trying to convert to SVCD and I'm getting mad with that.
The result is a major out of syn for the audio even though the audio itself is the same playing time as the movie......
Can't understand what's wrong.
Can somebody help ? Where can I find a comprehensive guide to convert XViD to SVCD ?
Cheers

I always use Vdub to save out the Xvid into another avi. Choose full processing mode on the audio, choose full processing on video stream use 4.12 as your compressor (ie recompress useing different codec). Save the lot out as a new avi, this might take 1-2 hrs and file will double in size.
Then use this in tmpg to convert to svcd, I then use VCDeasy to create cue and bin file from the mpeg and insert chapters. Then use Nero to burn.
you may get better results using dvd2svcd and CCE if you have a bought version!!

Have you got some sort of guide cause I can't get it to work...
I might be doing something wrong.
