  1. I've followed the divx/xvid to vcd guides on this page to the letter and get great mpeg's on the pc but once i burn them, the movie on either first or second cd starts playing slightly after the audio does..the sync problem goes away after "fast fowarding" a couple seens (seeking), it only happens when I let the vcd start from the begining and gets worse if i don't jump forward or backward...

I tried burning with nero and vcdeasy, both have the same problem, i've only tried playing them on my internal DVD player with WinDVD...not sure if standalones have the same prob..

    please help.... thanks.

what is the point of making a vcd if you are only going to watch it on a computer? all you have to do is burn the divx as a data disk at 32x and play the divx/xvid from your data cd. by the way I make vcds at 16x all the time and have no problems

  10. PLEASE SHUT UP. I BURN SVCDS AT 40X AND THERE HASNT BEEN ONE PROBLEM. IN FACT, THEY HAVE FAILED BEFORE UNDER 32X!

  11. I wouldn't say SHUT UP but khaltire made a good point, you should only lower the burn speed to <16x if you're using 90/99min CD-R(overburning).
I think the problem is WinDVD and your divx codec, reinstall them.
