I have made 2 mpeg files of Windtalkers ready to burn to VCD but no subtitles when Navajo speak navajo. There are 5 subtitle tracks English (everything), English for hard of hearing, Czech, Slater's and Cage's observations and some Navajo observations.
Does anyone know where the Navajo subtitles are??? They appear on the first 2 English ones, but so does everything else.

What's happing is that the foriegn language part is part of probably the first sub set. They are forced on which tells the dvd player to always display them. the only way I know to fix this in vcd is to use a subriping program that supports forced on ripping. Then you will have to hard encode them into the vcd/svcd. I use to know the exact steps but i've been doing dvd-r for a while. there is tutorials. I believe subripper will handle forced subs.

Thanks. I've tried to use subripper but can't make head nor tail of it. There does not appear to be any way of detecting FORCED subtitles.
Any more help appreciatedcarpe diem maņana
