  1. "VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 28475 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the "entire" audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 130.9 +- 19.5 kbps)"

And YES it is unacceptable. Can anybody explain me in plain english what I should do?

    Thanks very much

  2. What are you trying to do with the video. Is your aim to encode it to mpeg to make VCD. If so you need to save the audio as an uncompressed wav file, then when you come to encode you use this wav file as the audio source. If you dont do this the audio will be out of sync when you encode.

    The guide is here

  3. Sorry, I should have mention that.
I am trying to make another Divx out of it, but now with subtitles by using the Avery Lee subtitler. That works for most Divx movies, but not for this one.
I also might have to make three parts of it instead of two, which it is now, to get it on VCD's.

    Thanks.

I got the same virtualdub error when in the process of converting divx to vcd. I was attempting to save the audio as wav but I Virtualdub wouldnt allow me to do this either.

I eventually used avi2wav however when I try to encode with tmpgenc the audio is always out of sync....I 'm at my wits end.....
