I have a Question. I am ripping from a DVD using "TMPGEnc 2.59". I have my Bitrate set at 942bps, so that it will fit on a 80 min CD. The problem I am having is the time that "TMPGEnc" says it will take to do this process. The movie is 1hr 43min, but "TEMPGEnc" says it will take 61hrs.
Did I do something wrong, or is there a way for me to shorten the time, it is taking to do this? Thanks in Advance...
PS: would someone know of a program I can use, where I can covert a CD with Mpeg1 format to Mpeg2. My DVD Player will not play a CD with a Mpeg 1 format...

I can't help you out with ripping a dvd. Some of the time needed to rip could be influenced by what speed processor you have. Just my $0.2.
Tmpgenc can convert mpg1 to mpg2. You will need tmpgenc plus. I don't think the free version of tmpgenc will do it.
Look at the guides. The guides here are great.
