Virtualdub talks about "Copying Source Frame to Clipboard" and I'm assuming that means the current visible frame? I'm wanting to capture one of the pictures in a video with a printscreen so I can paste into Photoshop and make a cdrom label for my copy. I tried the Ctrl/1 and Ctrl/2 and it doesn't seem to put anything into the clipboard ..... am I misinterpreting what it's supposed to do? Which program will do the job I need. Thanks much.

I think he is talking about the printscreen button. Anyway, you are right, the Cntl +1 button does not work, but the menu selection (by mouse) does work in Virtual Dub.

What is your source material? If the cd-rom you're making is from a DVD rip or something similar I'd recommend playing the file with your DVD software and using it to capture the picture you want. My DVD software seems to play anything so long as I have the appropriate codec installed so this may be your best option.

  5. Yes copy source to clipboard is correct. Then in photo shop select file then new. From the just put your curser inside your new project box right click and paste and your done. Pretty darn easy.

  6. I think what he wants to do it "copy" a screen that he is watching in a movie. This is simply not as easy as pressing the "print screen" button in most divx/mpeg movies. If you just try and do that all you get is a black screen. What you have to do is open a movie in windows media player and then goto "tools/options/performance" and then drag the video acceleration button to "none", click apply and now you can take screenshots of the movie in windows media player. To do this simply press "alt +enter" in windows media player (to make it full screen) and now you can press the print screen button to take a screen shot of the movie. Then simply open your favourite paint program and paste the screen shot
