  1. OK! i have been working on this for a long time

I have read many guides and looked thru all the forums.

I have an .avi (DIVX) file with ac3 audio.

i scanned for errors and fixed them, then saved out new avi and then I extracted the .wav file with graph edit. then converted to 44.1
OK so then i have 2 files, and i put them in tmpgenc and set it all up like normal and then 6 hours later I have a perfect .mpg file where the audio is out of sync by a few seconds.

I have done this about 10 times b4 with the audio never out of sync b4. For some reason it goes out of sync now...I'm not sure if its the ac3 audio causing this because i thought I have done this b4 with ac3 audio (not sure anymore though).

I swear i have tried everything.
    -external audio encoders
-renaming to audio.ac3 and converting this to .mp2 file then using tmpgenc to multiplex it.
-re-doing everything over again to see if i screwed up

none of these worked....ive tried many things that my brain is hurting and i cant remember everything i tried (last night at 2am i was working on this could barely keep eyes open)

anyone could help me with this i would be very thankful
    all suggestions will be considered

btw, my file is the sum of all fears, DIVX, 23 fps 640x272...its just a normal file ive used this kind many times.

  2. OK, nevermind this post i think i actually figured it out.

I changed the ac3 to mp2 using besweet then encoding a few minutes of the movie in tmpgenc (no audio) then multiplexed it as SVCD (which last time I forgot to change that setting) and it seemed to have worked. so basically all i did wrong earlier was not change the setting to mpeg2 svcd. It makes no sense in my mind, but it worked and thats what matters here....tonight i will encode the whole movie and hopeufully when i wake up tomorrow morning it will be working....if not I am going to delete everything and never touch this movie again...lol
