    Hello.
If I'm right in thinking you want software recommendations for dvd jacket inserts...
    ...I use Microsoft Excel.
Strange I know bt I just create a box with a black border and use the import picture function to add any scanned/downloaded image. It's a little trial and error at first (you might find you print a couple of tests to make sure you get the exact size) but once it's done you have yor template for the next one.
Simple, and the best part is...
...if you already have MS Excel then it's free!

  3. go to cdcovers.cc they have darn near every cover you would need. Download CoverXP it is a dvd insert printing program, works great and free to try! You download the covers from cdcovers.cc then drag the cover to coverxp and print. simple as that. or if you are running windows xp....download the cover then selecte the file, right click, print. the fax cover template is just the right size for printing covers too.

  4. I download my covers from cdcovers.cc, resize them to 10.9"x7.2" in paint shop pro, then print.

  5. For both DVD inserts and labels on pre-cut forms, I use the MediaFace software from http://www.neato.com

Just click on the software/downloads tab.

This has been a problem for me also.

Craig Tucker: you dont have problem with every last bit of clairty going away when you do this? Thats what happens to me, my downloaded covers from cdcovers.cc look horrible.

rogain69: I myself have tried that, wouldn't work when I dragged the covers in, it would drag the entire dvd cover images in as a single panel. I figured that coverXP must be not as good at DVD covers at that point. Have tried the fax thing yet.

No have not had any problems so far, resize the image and also change the resolution. I set mine at 150 pixels/inch

You need to go in and change the template in cover xp to have it print the front middle and back plane. Off the top of my head i think its DVD keepcase splitted, it might be DVD single file though. There is only two options so play around with it a bit. I used cover xp all the time untill i found out that printing the picture as a fax page through win XP was easier. I do use cover xp still for cover that only have the front plane. It makes adding text to the spine alot easier. We all have diffrent ways of doing things huh.

Im at home now so i can tell you for sure.....
if the front, middle, and back cover is one file.then click..cover tempates. then select dvd.keepcase.single.file. and print..
if its just the front or back cover then select dvd.keepcase.splitted then print....

Does this prog let you print edge to edge on 8.5x11? I am using photoshop now and it always nicks a little of the edges each time--just an annoyance. Thanks!

Curious: does pacmania imply you like pacman? are you a mamer?

I have never tried printing edge to edge so you might want to test it for yourself. You can download it here:

Just a left over remnant from a fake religion I created on Yahoo! Groups, needed an idol to worship so thought Pacman would do. The name of the religion was Pacmania but i couldnt get that email address so I used the year after that. And then for here I lost my password for Pacmania_2000 so I used Pacmania_2001

menace: The borders problem might be a problem with the printable area of your printer. I know my HP PSC750 has a horrible unprintable area, actually I'm seriously considering selling it for an epson all in one, at least its printable area doesn't suck.
